Pixelated Dreams: Bringing Classic Gaming Soundtracks to a New Generation

Since I was a child in Mexico, I have always been passionate about music. As I grew older, I became interested in all kinds of music genres, but my heart was always drawn to video game soundtracks. I used to spend hours playing games like Final Fantasy VII, Megaman X, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time just to listen to the music, trying to understand how it was created.

Upon moving to the United States as a high school student, I developed a fervent passion for playing guitar and writing original music. With graduation on the horizon, I decided to pursue my dream of studying music composition and theory at the University of Texas at Austin. Over the course of my studies, I spent countless hours refining my craft under the tutelage of some of the most renowned music professors in the country. It was during this time that I rediscovered my fascination with video game composers such as Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, and Yasunori Matsuda, and sought to understand what made their music so captivating.

Since then, I have dedicated my career as a composer to working with up-and-coming video game developers who share my passion for retro-inspired games. My mission is to help these developers create soundscapes that are both distinctive and unforgettable, evoking a sense of nostalgia and immersing players fully in the game.
